What are the chances of an article being accepted ?

Only original on topic articles are accepted by The Market Oracle.

After viewing your article we may edit the article (rarely), and then publish.

Most submitted articles do get published.

We will try to email you if we are unable to publish, but usually if your article is not up within 48hours then highly likely it will not be published.

There are various reasons of why it may not be published which include -
a. Off topic
b. Too many recent articles of a similar type or following the same market.
c. Quality of content.

However we do appreciate your contribution and will do our best to include your article.

How can i ensure that my article gets published ?

By ensuring that the work is original, and relevant to the topic being discussed, as well as matching the ethos of the site. That being an analysis or forecast of a market or investment strategy.

As a guide, look at the type of articles already published.

Where individual stocks are concerned, the market oracle is interested in strategy rather stock tips, so all stock tips of Small / Medium Cap stocks will be rejected. But if your article comprises an analysis of a major component of an index, i.e. Intel Then it will be considered for publication.

We like to keep our content varied, so try submitting a article under a topic that is not already heavily covered, i.e. if recent articles have been mostly about Gold, then we are less likely to publish another article about Gold immediatly.

Who holds the copyright for submitted articles ?

You as the writer retain the copyright to the article, and are ineffect allowing Market Oracle to publish the article for an indefinite period of time at the sole discretion of Market Oracle.

We may also edit your article, though other than improving the title (as we have a great deal of experience in posting articles and know what is likely to get viewers interest than what is not), this is rarely done to the actualy body of the article text.

Can I copy someone elses article from another website to submit here ?

NO

All submissions must be your original work, any articles found to be copies from somewhere else will be deleted without notice.

So please only submit your own original articles.

How long should I wait to find out if my article will be published or not ?

We try to reply within 12 hours, and usually if the article meets the sites guidelines, you can expect the article to be published well within 12 hours.

However, no promises can be given i.e. weekends, holidays or high work load may lead to a longer period.

What do I get for submitting an article ?

The Market Oracle is a high traffic FREE Daily service and therefore receives a substantial amount of targeted traffic that author’s services benefit from.

Additionally, being a 100% free service, we are not in competition with any paid services and therefore seek to promote articles purely on the basis of the quality of content and thereby provide article submitters with additional traffic via our gold and silver star ratings.

Authors should include one or two urls to your website and brief description of the services offered / bio about yourself.

There is no monetary recompense for published articles, as the Market Oracle is provided as a FREE service to the readership, and neither are there ANY plans to move towards a subscriptions service in the future.

Authors, please make sure that articles are checked before submitting so as to prevent any time consuming editing requests.

Also note editing is limited to only within a few hours of the original article being posted to the site and must preserve the original thesis / conclusion.
